HMIT Group is the Data Controller for the personal information we collect through this website.
You can contact us by emailing Victor@hmitgroup.com. Victor Cullen is our data protection officer.
What we collect
When you sign up to our mailing list we collect your email address. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address and the message you send. If you tell us your practice or organisation in that message, we keep that too.
We also collect limited technical data about how you use the site, such as pages visited and general location, through Google Analytics and cookies. You can control this through the cookie banner.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry, to send the mailing list messages you asked for, and to keep a record of those conversations. We use analytics data to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Where it is stored
Information from the forms is stored in a Google Sheet that HMIT controls and in our backend database. Access is limited to the HMIT team. We keep form submissions only as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the conversation.
Cookies
The site uses cookies through Cookiebot and Google Analytics. The cookie banner lets you choose which categories to allow: necessary, preferences, statistics and marketing. Necessary cookies run by default. You can change your choice at any time. See our Cookies Policy for the full list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to certain processing. You can also withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time, and there is an unsubscribe link in every email we send.
To use any of these rights, email Victor@hmitgroup.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Sharing
We share your information only with the service providers that run our forms and email, and only to carry out those tasks. We do not share your data for anyone else's marketing.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our providers, including Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep your data protected.
Security
We restrict access to personal data to the HMIT team members who need it. We keep our systems updated and we have a process for dealing with any suspected data breach, including notifying you and the regulator where the law requires it.
Children
This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this page. The date below shows when it was last changed.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection authority, at dataprotection.ie.
